Blog Post #29 - Final Decision - The Killer's Cowl

In this post, I will be looking through different listings of cowls to further the process of finalizing and purchasing the outfit of the hooded Killer. I am looking for either a brown or red hooded cowl or something that I can cut down to look this way. To start, I will be buying everything off of Amazon.com, to speed up the process of research and delivery, as it allows me to receive my delivery in as quick as a day.

Cowls

To start, I searched for cowls. Below is the first listing I checked out.

This product is the type of thing I am looking for, and its reviews seem to be good. But on the other hand, the brown color seems a bit too bright, although I am willing to look past that. Furthermore, it takes longer than most to deliver, although still relatively quick (Today is Monday, February 10th, 2025). But the final nail in the coffin is that it is more expensive than the main piece of the outfit, and would bring me over budget— so I'll continue searching.

Below is the next listing I considered.

Although the price and reviews of this product are great, I do not like the shape or the color of it. I think the color is too dark, and will blend in too much with the black of the cloak, I also think it is too circular and will not look good. The delivery date is also not optimal, as I wish to start recording by then.

Final Decision

The last listing I looked at, which I settled on was the one seen below.

This cowl is the one I'm settling on. It has decent reviews, is a great price, and will be delivered quite fast. It is a good color, and I'm thinking about spray painting part of it red to show blood stains. I can use this to hide the killer's face from above and add a brown accent color to the killer's outfit. Now that I have this decided, I will move on to deciding the gloves of the killer and the outfit of the detectives. I still plan to start production by the end of the week if given the opportunity.
