Host: “Welcome to another episode of the SKBD Report, today we will be welcoming student producer Eriberto Mendoza, better known as Eddie”
Eddie: “Thank you for having me sir!”
Host: “Eddie here is the producer of the project Beneath the Hood! A comedy-mystery film about Detectives Ed and Fern’s hunt for the mysterious Killer drenched in a black cloak.”
Host: “Eddie! How has your day been?”
Eddie: “It’s been going pretty good, just got done writing a blog about you guys. How about yours?”
Host: “Same as ever (same as ever)”
Host: “Well anyways, let’s get into the stuff they’re here for. Eddie, throughout the creation of this project, how did you incorporate hardware into the production of your hit, Beneath the Hood”
Eddie: “Well sir, I used several pieces of hardware while creating this film. To write, plan, and edit this film, I used my laptop, and it has helped me to greatly increase my efficiency, allowing me to innovate on the go. In addition to my laptop, I used my phone, an iPhone 14 Pro Max, to capture the footage, allowing for higher visual fidelity.”
Host: “I see, so you used electronics you already had in order to produce your film”
Eddie: “Yes, that is correct”
Host: “Interesting”
Host: “So, did you use any non-electronic hardware, even something basic, like a trip”
Eddie: “Yes actually, I used an inexpensive tripod that I purchased off Amazon to record scenes that didn’t involve any movement, like as the first shot for Fern’s Montage.”
Host: “Ah I see, that’s smart. I sense a pattern here, were you on a strict budget while creating your film, Beneath The Hood?”
Eddie: “Yes, very much so to be honest, I was. I spent about $100 in the creation of this film. To be honest, most of the budget was allocated to Fern’s costume.”
Host: “Ah, well, I couldn’t tell, you did a great job, and I loved his costume.”
Eddie: “That means a lot. Thank you sir.”
Host: “So, back to it, did you use any software applications, or online tools?”
Eddie: “Yes actually, both. I used the software application iMovie, along with the gallery app on my phone to edit my film. Along with this, I also used google to search around for score along with other things.”
Host: “That is quite the list, was there any specific example that stood out to you”
Eddie: ”One of the more recent software applications I used was blender, a rendering software, in order to develop the Title card for Beneath The Hood.”
Eddie: “To use the software Blender, I had to do some research online to learn, and also had to switch to a desktop computer in order to utilize the application.”
Host: “Ah, that seems pretty complicated if I do say so myself Eddie. Well Folks, that concludes this episode of the SKBD Report, and we hope to see you back soon!”
