Blog Post #28 - Final Decision - The Killer's Cloak

In this post, I will be researching different clothing pieces and outfits to purchase to be the final outfit in my film. I need to complete this task for each of my characters in order to start with the production of my project. I plan to budget around $20-30 for my Killer's outfits and props if needed I can use a 3D-Printer in order to extend this budget, as I do have access to one.

So, after researching on Amazon, I found multiple contenders for the Killer's outfits. I had to carefully search through these listings in order to find one that matched my idea for the killer— as outlined in my "Blog Post #24 - Costuming the Killer"

Cloak

For the killer's black cloak, I am looking for a long, almost robe-type outwear that covers the Killer's legs, arms, torso, and face— using a hood. It should separate near the legs and taper off right near the Killer's hands. I am looking ideally for this to cost around, or less than $20, and deliver by the end of the week.

While on the search for a viable option to purchase for my killer, I came across this listing.

This will not be the option I use, as it is not long enough, over my budget, and it doesn't have a hood. The reviews and delivery time are good, although the other disadvantages are overwhelming. Here is the link

Everything about this product seems apt for my project, but while looking at the reviews of the product, given a video review it seems unsatisfactory. Below is the shown video.

This product does not look like my idea, so I will continue the search.

This product seems great for my project, it seems wider than the others, it seems more menacing, and long enough. The reviews, price, and delivery date look amazing for the product. I also have previous experience with this brand, and they have been good, upon viewing the video reviews, I am further convinced it is the right post for my project.

This is the cloak I have settled on for my Killer, and I will use other elements of clothing to develop the look of the killer. Next, I will decide on the killer's cowl and gloves together, and at the end of the week start to record.
